The Tower
"Lightning takes the crown off a tower built on rock that was never checked: what falls in one night took years of wrong foundation."
Upright meaning
The Tower is the deck's controlled demolition: a sudden truth, rupture or failure that collapses a structure, a belief, a plan, a façade, which was already compromised. The shock is genuine and so is the service it performs, because nothing built on that foundation was going to hold. The lightning bolt is information arriving at maximum speed. Once the dust settles, you will not want the old tower back.
Reversed meaning
Reversed, the collapse is suspended: a crisis dodged narrowly, or a structure kept standing by sheer denial, which converts one clean fall into a slow leak. If the foundation is false, controlled demolition beats waiting for weather.
In love
A revelation reorders the bond: a truth surfaces, an illusion drops. Painful, and clarifying, what survives this card is real by definition.
In work and money
Abrupt changes: restructurings, cancelled plans, exposed flaws. Save what is portable, skills, relationships, lessons, and let the building go.
The card's advice
Do not rebuild the same tower faster. Inspect the rock first.
